Flapper Girl is a line of handmade goods based in Portland, Oregon. It's cute, smart, and stylish aesthetic is expressed with mid-century patterns and motifs, clean typefaces, and a decidedly flirtatious logo. I am responsible for Flapper Girl's logo, design, and web programming.
Unfortunately, it's not a real store, but the concept behind Pen & Ink is that it is an independently owned stationery boutique with a discerning clientele who admires the elegance of clean, warm design. I created the Pen & Ink concept, and designed and programmed the website, including the Flash slideshow.
An educational website about the tradition of sewing in America, That Darn Machine features video tutorials, a timeline of sewing machine history, and a downloadable pocket reference guide. I created the concept, authored the text and video content, and designed and programmed the website.
Inspired by the classic countertops and roadside stands of the mid-twentieth century, Betty Donut is a (sadly fictitious) retro-style donut shop. Combining a crisp layout with fun, vintage-inspired illustrations, I am responsible for Betty Donut's concept, logo, design, and web programming.
